An Egyptian critic and screenwriter, she graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication before joining the Higher Institute of Cinema to graduate from the Screenplay Department in 1999. She wrote the script of a number of short films that won awards, including “The End of the World” and “All This Beautiful Voice,” which won the Best Short Film award. At the National Egyptian Film Festival in 1996, and "Wanderers", which won the same award in 2001. Before writing the script for the feature film "Balad Al Banat", which participated in the Cairo and Dubai festivals in 2007. On the critical level, she holds the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram, and Head of Art Department of the newspaper and website of the seventh day. She was also the editor-in-chief of "Cinema Online" and "Elite Cairo" magazines. She was a member of the critics' jury at the 2005 Ismailia Festivals, Rome 2003, Sale in Morocco 2009, and Luxor African Film Festival 2012. She was a journalist and critic who covered dozens of international and local film festivals, and the Syndicate of Journalists awarded her the prize for journalistic excellence in artistic coverage in 2002.
