Mazen Al Gably began his directing career through several films, including Pizza Pizza (1988), Jala Jala (2001), and Volcano of Rage (2002) starring Tamer Hagras and Farah, after which he disappeared from the art scene for seven years. He later returned with the Kuwaiti film, Matouk in Bangkok (2009).
