He was an Egyptian director who became known for his dramatic, comic, and sarcastic works. He started his career in the late 1970's as an assistant director in several series, such as Mizo's Story (1977). His first work as a director was through the series, Candle Tears (1984), after which he directed numerous other works, including Hend and Dr. Noman (1984), and Half for Me & Half for Him (2010). He also directed the prank TV show, Candid Camera with Ibrahim Nasr.
