Farid Abd Elhamid was born in Qena Governorate. He was a member of the Wafd Party. He worked as an assistant director in many plays, directed several others, including The King Dies Twice (1996) on El Hanager Theater. He worked on more than 15 plays, including The Escape, and Blood on the Royal Court. He has many works in the field of television works, including Open Your Heart, and The Critical Hours.
