He graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University and also from Raafat El Mehi's Academy of Cinema Arts and Technology. During his studies, he directed short films and worked as an assistant director in some films. He has directed documentaries and television programs. He made his directorial debut in the short film Nostalgia.
