An Egyptian director and writer, born in Cairo in 1977. He studied philosophy at Cairo University and graduated in 2002. His artistic debut was through his short film "It's Too Late" in 2005, before making his feature film directing debut with The Gate of Departure, which was in the official competition of the Cairo Film Festival in 2014.
