A Syrian director born in Aleppo in 1955. He obtained a directing degree from the Academy of Arts in Cairo in 1957. He also received a Master's degree in film directing from the High Cinema Institute in Cairo in 1984. He worked in Egypt in film directing and production for 12 years after graduating. Afterwards, he went back to Aleppo and worked there. He won an award in Egypt for his series Iron Door (1997) and in 2002 he won another award for his series Why Talk? (2001). His notable work includes Hell Door Prayers (2006).
