A Jordanian director and writer who studied film directing in the UK and returned to work in the Arab World. He specialized in television and documentary directing. He founded Al Jazeera Documentary Film Festival and has been its president since 2004. Some of his credits include Al-Mutanabbii's Death (1987) and Antara (1978).
