A Jordanian academic born in Tulkarm District, Palestine. He then traveled to Damascus, where he obtained two bachelor’s degrees in history and law. He's known for The Emperor (2002), Time of Shame (2009) and A Soul's Cry (2013-2016). He also co-wrote the documentary The Arab Spring: Revolution or Uprising? (2012). He died on 11 January 2016.
