He previously taught drama to children at the American Community School in Damascus.
He worked as an assistant professor of plasticity and theatrical movement at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus (1999-2000).
Son of visual artist Khaled Al Aswad.
He participated in the following foreign events: Independent and Amateur Theater Festival in Prague, Czech Republic, Girona International Theater Festival in Spain, Mont Laurier Theater Festival in Quebec, Canada, and Yakumo International Theater Festival in Japan.
He participated in the following Arab events: Danish Youth Conference in Cairo, Jordanian Theater Festival in Jordan, Carthage Royal Arts Festival in Tunisia, Mediterranean Theater and Cultures Festival in Casablanca, Morocco.
In an interview he gave in June 2014, he denied that the relationship between him and his friend and first colleague in the theater, Nawar Bulbul, had been permanently severed in light of their respective positions on the unfortunate events in Syria. And that everything that happened was a geographical distance between them due to his friend, Nawar Bulbul, currently residing in Jordan.
