A Lebanese actress and singer, born in 1953. She was tutored by her father, Saliba Al Katrib, the famous Lebanese oud player. She began her artistic career in the musical theater, and then went on to form a distinguished duo with Romeo Lahoud, in addition to this, she performed many distinctive songs such as "Tal El Sahar" and "Layali El Eid." She participated in a number of plays, such as Stop, Stop (1974) and Mountain Girl (1977), the play (Oxygen) with the artist Elie Choueiri, the play (Hekayat Amal) 1982 with Ghassan Saliba, and my plays (Princess Zumrud and Jasmine) with the participation of the artist Melhem Barakat. In 1998, she presented the second part of the play Yasmine at the Baalbek Festival. She performed songs composed by major Lebanese composers such as Melhem Barakat. Later on in her artistic career, Salwa preferred to stay away from the spotlight or appear in the media, contented with presenting religious hymns on certain occasions, and then at the end of her life, she retired completely from singing and the theater. Salwa married Romeo's brother, Nagi Lahoud, and gave birth to the famous artist Aline Lahoud. In 2009 she suffered a stroke and died at the Hotel-Dieu Hospital.
