A Jordanian writer, born in Amman in 1944. He obtained a degree in law from Beirut Arab University in 1966. He worked as an editor and presenter of cultural programs on the Jordanian radio until 1966. Some of his works have been translated into European and Eastern languages. His novel "Sharq Al Qamar Gharb Ash Shams" (East of the Moon West of the Sun) was chosen to be produced as the first Jordanian film in 2002. The Ministry of Culture presented the 2001 World Theater Day to honor him as a pioneer of Jordanian theater. He won many awards, including the State Prize for Literary Creativity (theater). He died on April 6, 2015.
