An Egyptian artist and cartoonist. He graduated from the Photography Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1959, and before that he started his journalistic career at Dar Al-Hilal in 1952. He moved in 1956 to work as a cartoonist in Al-Masaa newspaper and remained there until 1963. Thereafter, he joined Al-Akhbar newspaper in 1974. He also designed the logo of the 26th Alexandria International Film Festival. Mostafa Hussein held many positions, including President of the Egyptian Caricature Association in 1964, and editor-in-chief of Caricature Magazine in 1993, in addition to being chosen as the Syndicate of Fine Artists in 2002, and his works were published in many countries, including France and Russia. He passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the age of 79, after a long struggle with cancer.
