A Yemeni actor, singer, and composer, he was born in the city of Aden on March 11, 1938. He joined the Higher Institute of Arabic Music, in Egypt. He obtained a diploma from it in 1960. He also participated in the movie My Love In Cairo (1966). He died on April 1, 1993, due to an accident in Sana'a, at the age of 55.
