Lebanese director who was born in Beirut in 1963 to a family that works in the artistic and media fields. His mother was the writer and television producer Gulbahar Moumtaz, and his father was producer Tawfiq Merei. He studied TV directing in Athens, Greece, and worked as a TV director for the Greek Channel 5. He worked on producing an Arabic-language news bulletin for the Arab community in Greece. He worked as a producer, a production department manager, and then as an assistant general manager at Almajd TV Network.
