An Egyptian screenwriter, born in Cairo in 1941. He obtained a BA from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1966, and a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts. He began his artistic career by writing scripts for cinema. His most prominent films include Girls at the University, The Shame, Monsters Run, and The Egg and Stone. He died in December 2016 at the age of 75.
