He directed the play The Western Land written by Mohamed Anani in 1964. In 1968, he and his brother Hassan founded the Al-Telmisani Brothers Company, the first Egyptian company specialized in the production of documentary films. From his works: Girls in Summer, Interview with the Devil and Ismail Yassine in the Police. He died on September 11, 2002.
