A Syrian actor, born in Damascus in 1917. He loved acting and cinema since his childhood, and in the early 1940s, he traveled to Egypt to study acting. There, he met many Egyptian actors such as Youssef Wahby and Naguib El Rehany. On the advice of actor Mohamed Abdel Qodos, he returned to Syria to establish the Syrian Acting and Music Ensemble with a group of artists such as Rafik Shoukry, Hekmat Mohsen, and Fahd Kayekaty. Some of his credits are The Creepers (1990), The Reward (1989) and The Doctor (1988).
