A Kuwaiti lyric poet, born in the State of Kuwait, the city of Jahra in 1952. He's married and has two children. He obtained his primary and intermediate studies at Al-Ahmadi Joint School and then at Al-Shuwaikh High School. He worked as an employee in the Ministry of Public Health and as Head of Relations Department at Farwaniya Hospital, after which he retired. He began his career as a painter, then turned to writing lyrical poetry. He was influenced by great poets, including Badr Burisli, and Mubarak Al-Hudaibi. In 1973, he began publishing his poems in the magazine The World of Art. He wrote the lyrics of the series The Night Has Gone (2004).
