A Syrian actor, musician, singer, and director, born in Aleppo on March 13, 1930. He studied at the Hashemite School in Aleppo. He joined the Artists Syndicate in 1968. He applied for a competition held by the Syrian television in 1959 and was accepted in it. He moved to Damascus to work on TV since its establishment. He wrote some books, including one about the history of music in Aleppo entitled "Halab Beit El Nagham" (Aleppo, the Home of Melody). He hosted the program "Ayam wa Angham" (Days and Melodies). He wrote, directed, and presented 64 episodes titled "Maa Al Musiqa Al Arabiya" (With Arabic Music). He died in Damascus on January 30, 2013.
