Egyptian writer and director and brother of director Magdy Abu Emira. He started his career when he joined the Egyptian Television after quitting his job at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He directed many successful TV programs and held many positions including President of Egyptian Radio and Television Union. His works include the series Muhammad the Messenger of Allah (1980-1981), and Brother of the Girls (1984).
