Daniel Jacob Radcliffe was born 23 July 1989. He is a British actor of Jewish heritage most famous for playing Harry Potter, the famous boy wizard, in the films adapted from the series by author JK Rowling. Radcliffe has also made appearances in stage productions and a number of TV shows and films, including the TV film My Boy Jack and the play Equus, for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award.
