Assad Al Jaber was born in Raqqa in 1949. He started his career early by singing and working in the theater. After his move to Damascus, he turned to acting. He participated in dozens of dramas and television specials, in addition to many radio works. After the success of his song "Treed Trooh We Tensana" (You Want to Go and Forget Us), he recorded a series of successive songs, such as "Tathakkareeny" (Remember Me).
