A stage actor and poet, born in Doha in 1952. He is considered one of the founders of the theatrical movement and radio drama in Qatar. He obtained a public health diploma from the Health Institute and took a number of courses in stage directing and acting. He worked in the Ministry of Information and Culture, served as head of the texts department on Qatari television, and has practiced theatrical activity since 1968. He is currently a founding member of the Qatari National Theater Troupe, where he has directed several plays since 1980. He has practiced journalism since the founding of the Qatari magazine Al-Ahd in 1972. He participated in many Arab poetry festivals and seminars in Cairo, Baghdad, Muscat, and Sharjah.
