A Kuwaiti playwright, born in 1939. He was one of the founders of the Arabian Gulf Theater Company and one of the famed playwrights in Kuwait and had a distinguished imprint in enriching theatrical literature. He participated in writing plays with the veteran playwright Saqr. He also wrote many short stories, most notably his collection of stories Tears of a Married Man. He participated in many cultural events and received several awards and honors, such as being chosen as honorary president of the Arab Gulf Theater in 1992. He obtained the Order of Cultural Merit from the President of the Republic of Tunisia in 1995 and was honored by the theater festival of the Gulf Cooperation Council. And the College of Arts at Kuwait University honored him on the Kuwaiti Writer's Day for the year 2008. He is known for The Rooster is Lost (1971) and The Broken Jug.
