A Palestinian visual artist and writer, born in 1938 in the village of Salama, Jaffa. He attended middle school in Cairo and attended high school in Faqous, Sharqia Governorate, Egypt, obtaining his high school diploma in 1957. Then he joined the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo. He...Read more graduated from the Sculpture Department in 1963. He joined the Graduate Studies Department at Luxor's studios. He won many Arab and international awards. He became a member of the General Union of Palestinian Visual Artists and a member of the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists. He ran the Naji al-Ali Gallery for Visual Arts in Damascus for many years. He wrote many plays, such as the play Anger (1959). He died on December 17, 2002, in Damascus, Syria.
