An Egyptian football player who played for Al-Masry, then Al Ahly SC, then moved to the English club Middlesbrough. Shawky joined the Egyptian team in the African Cup of Nations. He also scored a valuable goal against Brazil during the 2009 Confederations World Cup. He participated in the movie Al Zamalawaya after he moved to the Premier League.
