She was an American actress, born in Montana in 1905 as Myrna Adele Williams. She studied music at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, and played in concerts. She debuted in 1925 in the movie Pretty Ladies. She has worked on Lucky Night, Shadow of the Thin Man, and The Ambassador's Daughter. She received the Kennedy Center Lifetime Achievement Award in 1988. She died in 1993 in New York City.
