An Iraqi actor and director, who started directing in 1974 and took a directing course in the German Democratic Republic in 1976. He began his career as an actor and starred in many series, most notably the series Nadia. He turned to directing television series, such as Night Wolves, as well as Seasons of Love, which he directed and starred in. After ruthless interventions by the Iraqi censors in his work, he left Iraq for Jordan and then Saudi Arabia, where he settled, but he continued to work in many Arab countries, as he worked as a director in Jordan and an actor in the Levant and Baghdad, starring in the series Sarah Khatun.
