An Iraqi director, producer, and actor, born and raised in Al-Qadisiyyah Governorate, then he went to Baghdad to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, obtaining a BA in Theater Science from the University of Baghdad in 1980 and was top of his class. After that, he obtained an MA in Theater Direction from the University of Baghdad in 1983, then he obtained a Ph.D. in Semiotics, Light and Laser Engineering from the same university in 1996. He became an assistant professor at the University of Baghdad in 2009. He participated in many TV series, including Stray Wishes. He prepared and presented a number of TV programs, such as Adam and Eve, and Iraqi Cinema. He directed several works for the theater, such as Freedom Road and The Brothers Karamazov. He also acted in several films, including The Horseman and the Mountain, in addition to the works he produced, such as the series Strings and Tears.
