Farooq Al Shoaiby was born in Mecca in 1980. He began his career in the school theater, then worked as an actor and writer in gardens' theaters, which led him to the literary theaters and the Society for Culture and Arts in Jeddah. After that, he wrote many comedy theatrical sketches, in addition to writing many plays, including Made in Saudi Arabia and Ladies and Gentlemen, then he turned to television as a supporting actor until he wrote the 2007 series Three, after which he wrote the first Saudi sitcom Where Are You? (2010). Thereafter, he joined the AlSadaf production company and continued to write TV series, such as When Autumn Blooms S2.
