A Qatari poet, playwright, and television writer, born in Doha in 1965. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and literature from Qatar University, then obtained a master’s degree in Arabic literature from Cairo University. He began his career working on several Qatari television channels, including Al Jazeera and Qatar TV. He also worked as a writer in many Qatari and Arab newspapers and magazines, then turned to playwriting. Among his credits are Qatari 60% (2012), Shamlan in Lebanon (2009) and Can Handle It (2004).
