Rashed Al Majed was born on July 27, 1969, in Manama, Bahrain. He began his artistic career at the age of fourteen when a physical education teacher discovered his talent and helped him develop it. His first song was "Helwa Yal Bahrainia," which was broadcast on Bahraini TV, then he released his debut album in 1984 entitled "Ah Ya Qalby", followed by his second album in 1986, "Li Bint Aam," after which he achieved wide fame in Saudi Arabia and then the Gulf. In 1993, Al Majed made his TV debut, but it did not achieve the desired success. In 2002, he achieved great success as he sang in the Emirati dialect for the first time in the song "Mashkilni." Al Majed has sung in many dialects besides the Saudi Arabian, including the Iraqi and the Emirati. He also has sung in English and released more than 600 songs.
