Tod Phillips is an American screenwriter and director who was born in Brooklyn, New York on the 20th of December, 1970. Phillips’ first film was the feature-length documentary “Hated: GG Allin and the Murder Junkies”. The work was a documentary about punk rocker GG Allin. Phillips made the film while studying at the NYU Film School and the production turned out to be extremely successful, becoming one of the highest grossing student films ever. Since then Phillips has directed numerous films and even made brief cameo roles in some of his productions. Among Phillips’ best known films are “Road Trip”, “Old School” and “The Hangover”.
