A Czech-American model and actress, born in former Czechoslovakia on February 28, 1984. When she was young, Karolína was mocked for her height, but after her friend sent her pictures to a modeling agency in Prague, she soon entered the world of fashion, appearing on the runway as well as in commercials. Kurkova began her career by moving to Milan, Italy, to gain the necessary experience in this field and to sign a contract with Miuccia Prada. In September 1999, she appeared on the cover of the American edition of the leading fashion magazine Vogue, then she moved to New York City. Her notable work as an actress includes the movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009).
