An American actor and country music singer, born on May 9, 1961, Wheeling, West Virginia, United States. He worked at a boiler-making factory in California for six years, and after an injury, he enrolled at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California to study hairdressing, and took acting classes in the evenings. He made his television debut in The Wonder Years in 1988. His role as Aidan Shaw on Sex and the City, earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 2002. He's known for My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Messengers, and Northern Exposure. As a singer, he released his debut album John Corbett (2006), followed by Leaving Nothin' Behind (2013).
