Garret Dillahunt was born in 1964 in Castro Valley, California. He studied journalism at the University of Washington and went on to get his M.F.A. in acting from New York University's Graduate Acting Program at the Tisch School of the Arts. He participated in on and off Broadway productions before taking an interest in film and television roles. He made guest appearances on several TV shows, including “The X Files” and “NYPD Blue." Dillahunt then secured recurring roles in various television series, including "The 4400" and "ER." He's acted in a variety of films such as "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" (2007), "No Country For Old Men" (2007), "The Last House on the Left" (2009) and "Winter's Bone" (2010).
