A Syrian poet and novelist, born in Aleppo, northern Syria, on September 18, 1931). After he obtained his secondary certificate, he traveled to Bulgaria to continue his education and obtained a degree in Russian literature and the Bulgarian language. He worked as a teacher in primary schools from 1951 to 1958 in Syria, then was assigned for one year to work in the state of Algeria, and worked in the Syrian Ministry of Information in the radio and television sector starting in 1967. He also served for a while as editor-in-chief of the magazine "Hona Demashq." He was a member of the Poetry Association and the Arab Writers Union, Damascus Branch. He translated a number of Bulgarian poems into Arabic. He died in March 2002.
