He...Read more completed his first short films, and at the end of the year he worked as a location manager in Egyptian director Ahmed Rashwan's movie Basra, which was shown in several international festivals later. In 2008, Habi joined the Film School of the Catholic Jesuit Society in Cairo to study low-cost filmmaking and finished his studies by making a short film, A Sweet Day, which was shown in some festivals. Since the beginning of 2009, Habi has worked as an assistant director in several TV series, commercials, programs on Al Jazeera channel, and films. In 2011, Habi co-wrote the script of the movie Winter of Discontent with director Ibrahim El Batout and others, and worked as a first assistant director in the film as well. In May 2012, he finished writing the script for his feature film Birds of Paradise. Habi wrote and directed the short film Falafel, which is based on real events, then traveled to South Africa to attend the Durban International Festival in the Talent Campus section.
