A producer, director, and writer, born in New York City, USA in 1965. He is the son of the novelist and fashion designer John Weitz. He married Patricia Brown and has three children. Among his notable work is the series Mozart in the Jungle (2014), which won many awards including a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical. His best-known work as a producer includes In Good Company (2004), Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009), and Being Flynn (2012). He also worked as a writer on the movies About a Boy (2002), and Grandma (2015).
