Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish physician and writer. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Apart from his work as a physician, Doyle was also a prolific writer who dabbled in short story writing, novels and poetry. Doyle is best known for his detective Sherlock Holmes stories. He also wrote other works including science fiction, romance and non-fiction among other subjects.
