John Travolta is the son of two parents who loved theater, which helped him to love art. When John was 16, he decided to drop out of school and get into acting. His breakthrough was in 1977 when he starred in the hit Saturday Night Fever, which became a pop culture phenomenon and earned him an Oscar nomination. John continued to succeed. Some of his most famous works include: Face/Off, The Punisher, Bolt, and Savages. John was not only an actor, but he proved himself as a songwriter when he starred in another hit, Grease. He went on to release 3 successful albums and won the Billboard Award for Best Vocal for Travolta Fever. He married Kelly Preston in 1991, and they had a son, Jet, who died in January 2009, and a daughter, Ella Blue, born in 2000. Kelly and John had a third son named Benjamin.
