American actor, was born in 1979. She began her career taking small TV roles at the age of 19. In 1999, Kate made her first cinema appearance in the adolescent drama “200 cigarettes”. Became well known in Hollywood and Worldwide after her role in Cameron Crowe’s “Almost famous”, for which she was nominated for Oscar’s best actress in a supporting role.
