A Syrian writer, born in Aleppo in 1932. He began his life participating in demonstrations and protests against the Shishakli dictatorship. He also participated in a number of international student conferences in Indonesia, North Korea, China, and Czechoslovakia. Then he turned to media, as he began writing political articles during his university studies in the newspaper Al-Rai Al-Aam. Then he moved to Syrian Radio to work as a broadcaster and then a political commentator, as he was the youngest of the five commentators working there in the early sixties. He's known for The Ruling of Justice (1977). He died on April 22, 2012, at the age of nearly 80.
