Carter Jenkins began his career as a performer in the city of his birth, Tampa, Florida. At the age of seven, Carter performed at a (community) theater. His parents were initially opposed to his desire to work as an actor. Carter eventually moved to Los Angeles where he would start his training as a professional performer.
