Egyptian folklore artist and singer, born in Kom Hamada, Beheira Governorate. She was introduced to the Egyptian radio by Zakaria El Hajjawi, who married her in 1961, and they separated in 1963. However, they did not separate artistically. She is known for the songs "Kaid El Nesaa" and "Ayyoub and Naasa". She met Zakaria El Hijjawi in the fifties and they founded the Nile group for folk art.
