Egyptian playwright, born in Suez in 1944. He became a professor at the Department of Drama and Criticism at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts at the Academy of Arts. He obtained a Ph.D. from the Institute of Theater Sciences, University of Vienna - Austria in 1990. He received a Bachelor's degree from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts Department of Drama and Criticism in 1971 and a BA of Laws from Ain Shams University in 1976. He also obtained a postgraduate Diploma, Department of Press and Publishing - Faculty of Media, Cairo University in 1978. He became an active member of the Egyptian Writers Union and was appointed as a teaching assistant at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Department of Drama and Criticism in 1981. He then became a professor. He studied in the Faculties of Specific Education in Damietta, Cairo, and Ain Shams. He is known for Mom and Dad's Gang (2009).
