Gemma Arterton is a British actress best known for her roles in "St Trinian's" (2007), "Clash of the Titans" (2010), "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" (2010) and "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" (2013). Next, she'll star in the thriller "Runner, Runner" alongside Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck. Arterton was born in Kent, England in 1986. She got an early start in theatrical productions. As a teen, she acted in an amateur production of Alan Ayckbourn's "The Boy Who Fell into a Book." It was entered into a local festival's competition, where she won the prize for best actress. At age 16, Arterton received a full government grant to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She got her second film role right after graduation in the James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" (2008). She was chosen from around 1,500 candidates.
