He is an actor, a writer, and a producer who was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on January 18, 1975. He briefly attended North Carolina School of the Arts in 1991. He served as an infantryman in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2001-2005. He is known for Green Zone (2010), In the Valley of Elah (2007), and Mysterious Island (2010).
