Kristen Wiig is an American screenwriter, comedian, actor, director and producer. Wiig studied art at the University of Arizona and got her start as an actor working with an improv comedy group in Los Angeles called The Groundlings. She made a name for herself as a cast member on the popular comedy skit series “Saturday Night Live” (2005-2012). While working for SNL, she also appeared in several films including “Unaccompanied Minors” (2006), “Knocked Up” (2008) and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” (2008). In 2011, she wrote the screenplay and co-starred in the comedy “Bridesmaids” which received critical acclaim. Wiig has received six Emmy awards and has been nominated for numerous awards for both acting and writing. She has appeared in several recent films including: “Her” (2013), “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” (2013), “The Skeleton Twins” (2014) and “The Diary of a Teenage Girl” (2014).
